Area and Perimeter / Maths
This Term for Maths LS2 are learning about Area and Perimeter which is the Length x the Width. For Maths Me and Joel worked collaboratively, To show our learning we created a DLO and a Screencastify to explain our learning. In this DLO we included a Definition for Area, Perimeter and Formula. We included a Diagram which is the examples that we have created on this DLO and a Learning intention which explains the Maths.
Swimming/ Kiwi Sport
This week was our first week back at school, We were doing swimming for Kiwi Sport. I liked learning how to go from your knees and back to touch your back. I liked doing that because it was really interesting to learn how to do some of these things. I would like do this more often because they are showing us how to be safe in the water and how to know if anyone is in danger.

Design Clock / Tech
This week at tech we were learning about how to make different things on a tinkercad witch is a 3D design that we use to make our designs og games or clock peces. I was making a clock for my dad because i have made my mum and i haven't made anything for my dad when we are at tech. I am making a monster drink clock for my dad because he likes the monster clocks. I was going to make a ghost raider clock for my dad but i can't because we only have 3 more weeks until our next rotation i was just going to make him the monster drink clock because i know how to and it will be essay. I was the only one that was going to make a clock but the Sela decide to copy me and make a clock to because we were friend and she was told that she had to make a game, Sela was going to make a clock for me because we were friends and also because i had made her something that was really cool and interesting to play with and use. I would like to say thank you to Mrs Ferguson for helping me with my clock and doing every thing to make me happy and not mad.

Log Multiplication Game
This maths game that I have created helps you practise the skills of long multiplication. If you get the correct answer, there is an animated gif that has a happy face, but if you get the answer wrong, it will say try again next time. There is a link on the incorrect slide which is a video that helps you solve long multiplication equations. After I created my game, I shared it to a friend, so they could test the links if it worked. The feedback I got was to make sure the text was able to be seen. I liked creating this maths game because, maths is one of my favourite subject and because it is interesting to make.
HIIT
This week was the last week of term and we had finished gymnastes last week so then Mr Ogilvie decide to run a hit section because we will not be able to runaround outside because it is raining for the rest of the week. We had got a band that was our size the two size were small and big. I was a small band, I was working with Mele for the activertes. I liked doing the pull up because it is a challenge for other and sometimes for me when i don't like doing it. First i started of not wanting to do it but the i just thought that i was doing it because we are not able to run around outside. We were challenging our partners that we were working with we had three rotations and we had a challenge to do the three sets, We had three turns each doing the HIIT rotations. We were doing Pushups, montien climer, pull ups. I would like to say a big thank you to mr ogilvie for running the HIIT, I liked it because it was really interesting and i like the end part were we had the competition for the song that we had to try to master the song Big selly up, There we 12 year 6 that had done the whole song and there were 13 year 7/8 that did the whole song big selly up. By the way if you don't know what HIIT stand for it is high-intensity interval training.

Matariki Side
This week we have been learning about Matariki. During our process through creating our presentation we all worked collaboratively and as a group we had lots of fun. As our guide we used our researching Skills and we also watched videos that helped get a more understanding meaning to our Presentation. I think as a class Ls1 and Ls2 really bought the Matariki spirit to the game. I worked with Miiana and Holy. We made a Slide presentation and I made my own Google drawing because we decide to do one each. The Google Draw was for the Poster and the Slide presentation was for what Matariki is about. We made seven Slides for the Slide presentation. We did some research on What Matariki is about. We found out the Matariki was about the 7 sisters. I wrote down facts about the Matariki stars and what they mean.

To develop an understanding of the different elements of Matariki. I learnt how to understand different elements of Matariki.I learnt how to make text to text,Text to world and text to self connections.I learnt that the seven stars of Matariki is a special celebration for the maoris.I also learnt that seven stars of Matariki was in 2018 and now there is nine stars in 2019. I know that the seven stars of matariki names are Waita,Wai-puna-a-rangi,Tupua-nuku,Ururangi,Tupua-rangi and there mum Matariki. Matariki is a very important celebration for the maori people because it is a time where families get together and sing songs and eat all together.
