Why should I become a school leader

Why should become sports leader? I think I should become sports leader because I always take part in different sporting opportunities. I have represented Panmure Bridge School in many different sporting events.

I think that I will be a good sports leader, because I like to play rugby, touch, netball as well as other sports. My number one favorite sport has to be rugby because I have fun playing it. I represented Marist in an interclub tournament that was recorded for the Sky Sport channel. There are many great sporting role models in New Zealand and my goal is to be a good one for our younger students.

As a sports leader, I will have to change my attitude so that others see that I am being the best sports leader that I can be. But I also knew that I had to get 10 times more than what I had. And get more good and being a sports leader and being a role model.

As my explanation has confirmed I really want to give sports leader a go because I think that having the opportunity to apply for the sports leader role is worth a try because giving the best shot is what I am willing to take.

Advertising DLO RWC

This week in writing to understand more about advertising, we created an advertising poster to sell a RWC (Rugby World Cup) item. I worked with Joel, Sakina, Miiana and I to create this advertising poster. The item we decided to sell were the RWC (Rugby World Cup) team jerseys. For this poster we tried to include different and convincing sentences to persuade others to buy this item.

Explanation: Should NZ ban plastic straws

I think that plastic straws should be banned because they are harming our animals who think that the plastic is their food. Plastic straws can get stuck in turtle’s noses, in the throats of fish and in the beaks of birds, causing slow, painful deaths. People don’t realise the number of straws being thrown away that end up on our beaches and in our oceans. Plastic straws are on our beaches and many New Zealanders don’t seem to care. Wouldn’t you prefer to save our seas?

If an animal swallows a plastic straw it is really dangerous because they can’t digest their food properly. In a few years there might be more plastic straws than sea creatures in our oceans. Imagine that! Animals should not be getting treated this way because it is not really appropriate for people to be doing this to them.

We should stop using plastic straws because they take around 500 years to biodegrade or breakdown, which is a real problem. Plastic straws are a waste because once you use them, they are simply thrown away. The plastic in the straws contains chemicals which can be really harmful to these animals, animals that often become our food. Meaning people will eventually ingest these chemicals as they make their way up the food chain.

I choose not to use plastic straws because of the damage they are causing to the world around us. Sadly during beach cleanups over the last ten years 65,000 plastic straws were found lying around NZ shorelines.

Tech @ Tamaki College

This week at Tech we were sanding the burn marks of our game boards off, while was also putting together my clock. My clock is a motorcycle. I was painting a board game red and blue because they are my favorite colors. The part that I enjoyed was designing my own clock because it is a really interesting idea that i had chosen to make for my tech work + it is an unusual masterpiece to make.
I am really proud of myself for what I have achieved in tech and I hope to learn more.
